This privacy policy sets out what information we collect about you, how we use it and to whom we disclose your personal information.

1.             Your Personal Information
Your information means personal details such as your name, contact details, date of birth, dietary, medical, travel and special needs, including religious requirements. 

You will typically provide this information to us via the ‘Contact Us’ form, our Wedding Questionnaire and/or during telephone or email communication with us.

We may record or monitor telephone calls for customer care and training purposes.

To the extent that the information you provide includes personal information of someone else (for example your fiancé), then you are responsible for ensuring that such person is aware of this Privacy Policy and has agreed to your acting on their behalf in all your dealings with us.

We ask you to keep us updated with any changes to your personal information.  We will endeavour to update your information with such changes as soon as practicable after notification of the change.

2.             Use of your Personal Information
We will use your personal information in order to:

  1. submit a request for quotation to the wedding planner in Greece and any other local suppliers of wedding services, in accordance with your instructions;
  2. act as liaison between yourself and the wedding planner in respect of documentation and your wedding arrangements;
  3. assist you in the completion of the legal paperwork and documentation required by the UK authorities in respect of getting married in Greece;
  4. act as booking agent for those wedding services suppliers (principally the wedding planner) you enter into contracts or arrangements with in respect of your wedding (who could be located outside the European Economic Area), which may include receipt of payment by you to them via our nominated bank account and remitting the same in accordance with our agreement with such suppliers;
  5. conduct security, immigration and credit searches;
  6. to respond to any legal requirement on Ionian Weddings to disclose your personal information (for example for immigration, security and anti-terrorism purposes) if required by them, or as required by law;
  7. for the purposes set out in Ionian Weddings registration with the Office of the Information Commissioner;
  8. for the purposes of market research and statistical analysis to better understand the needs of those using the Site and the services of Ionian Weddings.

When you book with Ionian Weddings your information will need to be passed on to the relevant suppliers of your wedding arrangements such as the wedding planner, hotel, photographer, transport company etc. to make your wedding possible.  If we cannot pass your personal information onto the relevant suppliers of your wedding, then we will not be able to process your query or facilitate the booking.
Unless provided for above or required by law, we will not pass any information onto any person not responsible for part of your wedding arrangements.

3.             Data Processing
Ionian Weddings may disclose your personal information to companies who act as “data processors” on our behalf, or to our service providers operating systems or business functions on our behalf (located in or outside of the European Economic Area).  Purposes include administration,  customer care, training, improving our service, re-organisation/structuring/sale of Ionian Wedding’s business, security and crime prevention/detection, research and analysis, monitoring, dispute resolution, credit checking and debt collection.
4.             Marketing
We may from time to time communicate with you to  inform you of offers in the future or send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting.  We may also use your information to contact you for market research. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail.  Please note that our Site assumes you to agree to communication by email when you submit an enquiry form or wedding questionnaire.

You will be given the opportunity on every email we send to unsubscribe to Ionian Weddings direct marketing material.  Once properly notified by you, we will take steps to stop using your information in this way.

5.             Rights
You are entitled to ask in writing for a copy of your personal information held by us and to correct any inaccuracies in your personal information   If you would like to do this please write to us at:

6.             Cookies and their use
Ionian Weddings may use cookie technology to collect data from the visits a person has made to parts of the Site. Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored in a designated file on your computer. This information allows Ionian Weddings to know what pages are of interest to users and what pages may be of less interest.
