I got married in Sorrento, Italy on the 29th September 2017. We booked our wedding 13 months prior with Ionian Weddings. I found the girls at Ionian Weddings so professional. I was not the easiest person to deal with as I am a bit of a perfectionist! But I must say the girls, especially Stacey who I dealt with mostly, were so helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to get me the answers I needed. I sorted my paperwork through Ionian Weddings as due to being Irish this threw a spanner in the works. The girls were great in sourcing exactly what I needed going forward with this. I had been dreading the paperwork side of things but it was a walk in the park. Our day was so perfect, the local coordinator was also great! She took over and told us exactly what to expect on the day. She even sourced petals three days prior from the florist and sent them to my Hotel. My bridesmaids dresses were an unusual shade of dusty pink and would look different in every picture I took. The Italian team were so professional and such care & attention was paid to my reception preparation. I would highly recommend Ionian Weddings to any future brides out there!

We chose to get married in Sorrento, Italy as we love Italy. Some of my family who are sadly no longer with us are from that area so we thought we would feel a sense of closeness getting married in their home region. The Sorrento Cloisters is so rustic and typically Italian looking. Absolutely beautiful location. With a fantastic violinist throughout the ceremony, beautiful flowers, perfect blue sky and a wonderful atmosphere with the Cloisters being open to the public. The reception venue was absolutely beautiful, with a different feel. Quite modern with white and blue outside decor. But the view took our breath away. Sitting on the terrace, overlooking the Island of Capri whilst eating the most delicious food...we could not have asked for more. The whole planning process with the staff at Ionian Weddings was so enjoyable. There was no stress, no worries, no concerns. Every question we had was answered quickly. All the paperwork was simple and easy to complete. All the staff we had contact with were absolutely amazing. With a special mention to Veronica and the local co-ordinator in Sorrento. Thank you so much for making our day more perfect than we would have ever imagined. We couldn't have asked for more. There is nothing we would change. If any of my friends consider getting married abroad, I would absolutely recommend Ionian Weddings!

I wanted a company with excellent reputation and ABTA protected. The Ionian Weddings team are truly amazing. I was extremely worried planning an abroad wedding from UK, however I trusted the Ionian Weddings team and knew I was in safe hands. My wedding in Santorini was beyond perfect, all the support and help from Anna was shown on the day as it all came together perfectly. I will always be delighted that we chose Ionian Weddings. The whole process was ideal for me as a fairly laid-back, low-key bride; I had no interest in micro-managing our wedding day, and my priority from the beginning was to give our guests a fantastic holiday rounded off by a beautiful wedding. Ilaria, the UK wedding planner, worked incredibly hard to achieve this. We were drawn to Sansepolcro initially because the package included a week in a villa for thirty people. We leapt at the chance to spend a week with the people we love the most! When my mother in law thoughtfully and generously booked a second villa in the same complex, it enabled us to offer every one of our fifty guests a week's holiday in sunny Tuscany. Some were with us the entire week - others flew in a day or two beforehand, but every guest was charmed by the beautiful villa, the spotless ensuite rooms, many of which also had kitchen facilities, the swimming pool, the walks and the incredible views. As a result of our time together, our guests were relaxed, comfortable and had a fantastic time together. Instead of being limited to a single day, we shared multiple meals together on the veranda, swims in the pool and games of table tennis. We were married in Sansepolcro's ornate library in a simple and brief, but very warm, ceremony. Afterwards we returned to the villa for a more personal, symbolic ceremony led by my father at the swimming pool, which included readings meaningful to us and traditional Church of England vows. This was followed by a Tuscan feast (genuinely - a delicious, abundant feast!) and dancing at the villa, which the guests and the local co-ordinator had decorated earlier with fairy lights, crystal, candles, homemade favours and seating cards brought from the UK. As if this wasn't perfect enough, our photographs arrived three weeks after the wedding and completely surpassed our expectations. The photographer was efficient and understated, and produced the most wonderful photographs - sunlit, romantic and incredibly personal. He captured moments that we totally missed, and as a result, we have had not only the perfect wedding day, but memories that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Amazing service from Ionian Weddings! The venue, the food, the staff and the atmosphere were all perfect. We couldn't of dreamed of a better wedding. We were blown away by the venue itself. Places never usually live up to how they do in pictures but our venue did. We loved every minute and so did our guests. I just wish we could do it all again, it was so amazing! Planning with Ionian was so easy and made planning our wedding stress free. The legal side was all sorted (good job really, as we didn't have a clue about this part). All the staff were friendly and helpful, but a special thanks to Stacey and the local co-ordinator. Our day was perfect from start to finish. We've been together for 12 years and during this time we had talked about the kind of wedding we'd like. We trawled through lots of different venues and locations prior to getting married in Santorini however nothing seemed to stand out to us. The magical island of Santorini really blew us away, even though we hadn't actually visited this part of Greece before we knew it was the place we wanted to get married in. We put in hours of research before we booked and we're so pleased that we chose Santorini as our place to get married. Our photographer and videographer were fabulous and made us feel so at ease. We have received our photos and are extremely pleased with the outcome. We are still waiting for our video which we can't wait to see. Helen who did hair and makeup is a complete genius and she did wonders on our day. Including offering advice on tackling wedding nerves! Yiannis our Santorini wedding planner was simply wonderful he went above and beyond for us and we can't thank him enough for his kindness. Our celebrant John was amazing and everyone loved him - someone described John as though he looked like he'd come straight from heaven. Which isn't far from the truth because Santorini really does feel like heaven. The beautiful blue vistas and gorgeous orange monochromatic sunsets are out of this world. We loved how the Santorini Gem gave us exclusive access to this and that we didn't have to share our venue with anyone else. Thank you Ionian Weddings, if we could do this all again we would.

We used their document service as well and again it was so easy and hassle free and we were kept in the loop at each stage. When we arrived in Santorini we had a meeting with Laura and Natasha who again carried on the wonderful service and made sure we clear on everything we had planned and how the day would run. On our wedding day again it was stress free and even when the speakers at the Gem went wrong, Natasha and Laura arranged for the guests to receive free champagne as a way of an apology. This was all done without myself or Stefan saying anything. This shows how professional and how much care the team at Ionian Weddings have for each of their brides and grooms. The photographer and video maker on the wedding day made us and all our guests feel at ease and the resulting photos and DVD are incredible and were delivered to us while we in resort still. Stefan and I can't take the whole team at Ionian Weddings enough for making our special day even more special. If you are thinking of booking a destination wedding we can't recommend them more highly as you have no stress which is what every bride and groom want

When we got engaged, we never for a second believed we could have afforded a wedding, let alone one as beautiful and magical as what we have just had. When I looked into weddings abroad to broaden our horizons, Ionian Weddings came up in the listings; after a look on the website I started to believe that a wedding could be possible for us and we took it from there. The best decision I ever made was contacting you, what I loved the most was how clear your packages and prices were as it allowed us to budget and plan. From the day we got in touch we have never regretted it, the whole process has been relatively easy and stress free! (In the grand scheme of wedding planning it was less stressful than most!) We have felt confident at every stage of the planning process, however, we had some natural anxiety about marrying abroad and the 'unknown'. This anxiety was completely unnecessary, when we arrived in Italy everything was in order. We had our own coordinator who confirmed final details and showed us around all of the venues. Again, the staff at the restaurant were fantastic, the florist was beautiful and all the finer details like make up and nail artists where sorted. 

We had 45 guests at our wedding, including 6 children, we had three wedding cars, a horse and carriage, flowers, a beautiful ceremony, unlimited drinks at the villa bar after the ceremony with the most amazing view, then a three course meal at an amazing Italian restaurant- literally a fairy tale, we were situated in the lemon grove with lemon trees and candles. Then we went on to the Foreigners Club for the after party and had a DJ and air conditioned room.  

Every guest was amazed at the day, the food was absolutely first class, the whole experience was unreal. I felt like a princess walking through the cobbled streets of Sorrento where people where shouting and waving at us!  

So finally, I would just like to say, thank you, to everyone at Ionian Weddings, I feel you have been a huge part of our journey and we are so glad to have shared this experience with you, you do an amazing job! We have memories to last a lifetime and we can honestly say that our wedding was a dream come true. I will recommend you (and have already) to anybody interested in marrying abroad.

Everything went so well that we were both waiting for something to go wrong! However, it didn't and we had such an amazing day. Veronica answered all my (many) questions promptly, was very supportive and genuinely interested in our special day. Veronica offered advice but was never pushy. Although we never met face-to-face, she was like my virtual right hand woman, supporting me through all the final details. We met the local coordinator twice, the first time when we went over to Sorrento for a recce. She was so knowledgable about the area, giving us a tour of both locations and even met us later that day again to show us the various venues we could meet our guests for food and drinks while we were there. The second time we met her, the week we got married, she completely put our minds at rest going through the final details of t he day. She had been such a help leading up to the wedding, that it was lovely to have her translating our ceremony. As with Veronica, nothing seemed too much trouble.

It is daunting booking a wedding abroad but do not think twice about using Ionian Weddings to remove all apprehensions you may have. Our UK Wedding Coordinator changed part way through our planning however the transition was seemless and the excellent support and communication levels continued. Any questions or concerns were addressed in an extremely timely and friendly manner. The Ionian team are a lovely bunch to deal with. The Destination coordinator was organised and well informed. She managed the day exceptionally. Extremely welcoming and friendly to our family and guest. The day was coordinated expertly with florists, hairdressers, musicians and photographers all in the right place at the right time. We chose to book with Ionian Weddings after cancelling our big white wedding in the UK. We felt that our day was being lost in the expectations of others and we weren't enjoying the planning process. We booked a small wedding in Lindos through Ionian Weddings after seeing photos of St Paul's Chapel. Booking through Ionian Weddings was very easy and they always kept us up to date with information. Ionian Weddings really took the pressure out of planning - especially the paperwork! We had a small, Greek wedding and it was everything we could have hoped for! The venue, the food and the setting was absolutely perfect and we will both remember it for the rest of our lives - I want to do it all over again.

We had such a fantastic wedding day, the location was amazing, it was perfectly timed with the weather and was such an impressive view of Venice on the rooftop. The service and food was excellent. The guests were impressed with the bottle being sliced open with the sword! Each dish I tasted was superb and lots of our guests commented on how fantastic the food was. The magician for the children was exceptional and managed to keep the children entertained throughout the meal. My children are still talking about his tricks! He was such a great idea to book for their entertainment. The whole day went without any problems. The wedding planners organised everything perfectly, along with the hotel manager who gave us a tour and discussed some details with us. Myself and my Husband got married on 26/06/2017 at Santorini Gem in Santorini and I cannot rate Ionian Weddings highly enough! We have a small family so had always thought a destination wedding would be lovely, guaranteed sun! and a lovely holiday with our family. Planning a wedding abroad can potentially become a very stressful time- choosing the right destination, ceremony venue and reception. However, following a lot of research, most of which was done by my sister, we discovered Ionian Weddings and immediately felt in safe hands. Their wedding packages, for all the different destinations, are clearly advertised and reasonably priced. From the beginning, we were introduced to Stacey, our wedding planner, who became our "Wedding Guardian Angel". We really cannot thank her enough. She is very calm, friendly, knowledgeable, conscientious and made us feel special, unique, addressing all our individual needs and questions in a very timely manner to alleviate our stresses. Every step was structured,and information, throughout the 16 months, given in small timely chunks to prevent us becoming too overwhelmed. Stacey, as I suspect the other Ionian Wedding Planners do, gave that extra special touch, speaking directly by phone, whilst in the UK, making sure every last detail was covered before we left for Greece. A lovely message on our Wedding day also provided that extra special touch, making us feel that the company had a real interest in our special day. Stacey and the team work to high standards and it clearly shows by the success of the day. Our wedding was the magical, dream wedding we wished for in Skiathos. The weather, the beautiful location for our ceremony- at the Bourtzi and the reception at the lovely rustic taverna, all pieced together to give us a day that will stay with us until our last heart beat...priceless memories. We have to give a special mention to the manager and staff at the Restaurant for creating the theme for our wedding reception-it was truly beautiful and perfect, just as as we had visualised in the UK. Many compliments were also given for the meal provided- typical greek dishes. Also, a very special mention to our photographers, who we feel made our day, ensuring that it ran well, timely and captured, in their pictures, all the precious moments, keeping this lovely day alive. Our wedding day was a dream come true and we would love to go back to the villa to re-live another special event / occasion. A re-union / anniversary party maybe !

Firstly I want to say thank you for all your help with the wedding, we had an amazing day! Your local co-ordinator and team in Malta were incredible, we wanted for nothing and I really feel like they went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Literally nothing was too much trouble- at one point he was holding a light reflector up for the photographer to make sure we got the best photos! He personally attended our villa to bring our flowers and I lost count of the number of glasses of prosecco he put in my hand throughout the evening! Can't thank him enough, also Brenda was lovely and so many guests commented on how amazing they both were. The caterers were also fantastic! We loved every course and have had so many comments from our guests about the lovely food. Someone even said it was the best starter they had ever had and want to recreate it at home! The staff were also so efficient and friendly which we appreciated just as much as the quality of the food so a huge thank you to them! The photographer was also great, again so friendly and clearly a perfectionist when it comes to his work! So glad we were able to have him as our photographer and we are so looking forward to seeing the photos! Total confidence in him that they will be brilliant. The make up artist was lovely and did an amazing job! We were all so happy with her work and she listened to us all and gave us exactly what we wanted. She even posed for photos with me and the bridesmaids which was a lovely touch.

The staff at Ionian weddings are really helpful and patient, from the first contact throughout to the wedding day they were all very professional and thorough. The team in the UK and the local team in Santorini were great with helping planning and arranging the flowers and advice on all aspects of the day. We could not really fault them and the local team.  The venue was perfect and who could fault the view...stunning! The service at the Santorini Gem was great, they kept the drinks flowing and the food was good.  We were impressed with all aspects of the Gem and the staff and wished the day could have gone on longer! I would definitely recommend the service of Ionian Weddings and their great team in Santorini.

From the very first day we contacted Ionian Weddings, right through to the wedding day itself, and now even after the day has passed, their service has been amazing. The package offers were very reasonable, and we chose Ionian Weddings because we had so many options to play around with to make our day unique to our style. Booking was stress free,and everything was dealt with via email (being in Scotland it was difficult to pop down for a meeting). The wedding day itself was perfect. Cameo Island was unbelievable, and the photos don't do it justice - it is stunning! Our local co-ordinator was there to make sure everything was how we wanted it, and that we were happy. The photographer we had was also superb, and didn't intrude in our day at all (not like how some can be at traditional home weddings). He approached us and asked if it was a good time to go for some photos the two of us and everything was done when we were ready, and also made a great effort (and success) in capturing some ideas for photos I gave him before the day. Our DJ was spot on as well, and the dance floor was never empty - my husband made a playlist of the type of music we wanted, and he added a few which fitted right in and kept everyone on their feet. Every second of our Wedding day from beginning to end was perfect.

I would not have changed one thing about the wedding pre, post or on the day. Both wedding coordinators in the UK and Greece literally could not do enough to help make our day perfect. The entire wedding from start to finish was at our pace, personalised and beautiful. Every phone call came with a smile. The documentation service was amazing and worth every penny - no need to go to registry office pre-wedding, a short 30 minute session post wedding at your convenience provides you with your wedding certificates - It was worth its weight in gold - no need to worry about translations or missing documents the register and wedding coordinator there to support and documents delivered to your hotel room. Our local co-ordinator was amazing! Her patience, mannerisms, no request was too much, she was super professional and extremely efficient. The DJ, photographer, videographer and hairdressers all came to us when convenient. The hairdresser was fantastic and exceeded my expectations. The food on the day was hot, fresh and tasty and the wedding cake beautiful! The scenery and the way they set the flowers, tables etc was breath taking. I held back happy tears walking down the steps when I initially saw how they had laid it all out.
I honestly cant thank Ionian Weddings enough for making my wedding day literally perfect in every way and making it the happiest day of our lives.

There was never any question that we wanted to get married abroad in a relaxed beach setting but once we started the planning process found that there was such a huge amount of confusing information online about where to get married, venues, locations, legalities,  it is so hard to know where to begin.  Once we decided on our destination, we did contact a few companies who offered weddings there. Like many other couples, we were concerned about the price of a UK wedding, inviting guests because 'you have too' and not having the guaranteed weather. We found Ionian Weddings online and after researching the company and Jane, we couldn't find any fault, so we got in touch and had our pre-meeting with Jane herself.  Jane put our minds at ease and was able to answer any and every question we threw at her. The whole process was simple, straight forward and STRESS-FREE. That's what we loved the most, we just decided on what we wanted, got in touch with Jane, who was very quick at replying to emails. Everything about Ionian Weddings is professional, every little details is looked at, every I is dotted, every T is crossed. We cannot find fault with Jane or her team. We met our local co-ordinator once we arrived in Cyrpus and she was our rock, she had even more knowledge about the venue, how things were going to go ahead, arranged our meetings and paperwork for us. Everything for our special day was perfect and I mean perfect, from start to finish, we had no issues whatsoever, even little, odd requests were sorted out. My father was unable to travel to my wedding as he was in the Royal Marsden hospital, but with the help from our local co-ordinator, we managed to skype the entire service to him, so he was by my side and could watch everything. Stacey in particular was fantastic and clearly has passion and dedication for the company. When me and my Wife decided we were getting married abroad we had the painful process of not knowing where to start. We had no idea how to plan it or even the country we wanted to get married in. After searching and contacting several wedding planning companies we came across Ionian Weddings, and all I can say is WOW. We booked our first meeting  with Anna in the London office who talked us through everything and took all of our worries away, we finally settled on Santorini and once again WOW. So the planning began. Anna made everything so easy and we can't thank her enough. Closer to the wedding we were then passed over to Sofia who is part of the local team and once again WOW. She sorted all of the final touches and took all of our remaining worries away thank you so much.
Then finally two weeks before our big day we were passed over to Yannis who is the local wedding planner in Santorini and I don't even have words to express the happiness he brought to me and my wife. We arrived in Santorini on Sunday and met with Yannis on the Monday to go and view the venue and from there.  Every little detail was planned to a high standard. He stayed for a majority of our day and night helping with anything asked of him. To sum up Santorini is an amazing country to be married in and I cannot speak highly enough of Ionian Weddings as a company. The venue we had for both ceremony and venue was Santorini Gem and what an amazing choice. We could not wait to share our experience with Ionian Weddings after getting back from our wedding trip!
