We booked through Ionian after looking online for a wedding package that felt intimate and provided a beautiful destination for us and our guests. Through the whole planning process our wedding planner Maria, was so helpful. We were able to tailor our wedding to suit us, and to make it more individual. At all times I felt relaxed and confident that what we wanted was able to become a reality. We had never been to our wedding venue which was cloisters and Hidden Hillside, and so when meeting our wedding co-ordinator there was a little nervousness, that all would be as we imagined. We met Claudia and she automatically made us feel that everything was in control. After viewing the venue and reception and talking through the finer details, we felt very relaxed, confident and so excited. Our day just went perfectly, we could not fault the organisation, the venues and their staff and the photographer. Our guests have all said they had the most fantastic time too. We had the most amazing wedding day at Cavo Ventus, Santorini. From day one the planning process was laid back and stress free, and Kerry was a pleasure to work with - extremely friendly, helpful and nothing was too much bother. Always enjoyed speaking to Kerry who made the whole planning process easy. Sofia was very friendly and knew exactly what we had planned and made sure all details were correct. Elena who was at the villa throughout was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and communication was second to none.

Thank you all for an amazing wedding we couldn't of asked for a better day that was stress free and planned extremely well to just how we wanted it, we loved it and our guests were all amazed and said it was one of the best weddings they had been to due to the fantastic locations delicious food I could go on forever it was such a perfect day from start to finish and we will remember it for the rest of our lives. Italy is now our little bit of heaven.

We got married on 23.09.2019 in the Cloisters and had our reception at Hidden Hillside Gem. We chose Gem based on pictures we were shown online and it really is as beautiful as those pictures. The view is amazing from this venue. We had canopies and drinks on the terrace overlooking the pond in the afternoon surrounded by beautiful scenery and Vesuvius in the background. It is the most perfect setting for a wedding and everything that we wanted. We had a pre-wedding meeting at the venue a few days before with Bernardo and we spoke about the layout and decorations we had brought with us. On the day, everything was exactly as we had imagined and even some extra decorations and flowers were included, which was lovely. Bernardo is such a lovely man and him and his team couldn't do enough for us and our guests. They were all very kind and happy to help with anything we requested on the night. The food was amazing too. Our guests were very happy with the 4 course menu we chose and it was all delicious. The waiters were really helpful and attentive, always topping up our drinks during dinner. A great service was provided by them and the barmen who even remembered what guests were drinking as they approached the bar.

Lizzie has been so so helpful throughout the whole process. I couldn't have wished for a better wedding planner! Lizzie spent months emailing us back and forth from booking in the original date in to getting the finer details in place for the day. Any questions we had were always answered quickly via email or on the phone and explained well. I knew i could email Lizzie even if it felt like a silly question and we would be put an ease with the response. We had a couple of meetings in the office too which was so nice to meet face to face and it made the planning feel more 'real' that we had the opportunity to meet as then its not just something online. She has such a lovely, kind, friendly and bubbly personality which really helped take away any stress from the planning stage. I felt she understood exactly what we were describing and what we wanted for our day and it turned out perfectly so we have you to thank! Thank you so much Lizzie.
Claudia was our wedding planner in Sorrento. We had a meeting with her 3 days before our wedding and again as soon as we met her and started running through the day i knew we were in good hands. She really spoke in detail and the day and venue and answered all of our questions regarding exactly how the ceremony would be handled. Claudia was so friendly and kind. I really like the laid back (yet super professional!) attitude she had which made us feel so relaxed about the day. I didn't realise that although Claudia was our co-ordinator in Sorrento that she would actually be translating the ceremony. When we found this out i was really happy, we already knew someone there with us to calm our nerves! We were able to text Claudia with any last minute questions and even up to the morning of the wedding just to check in and make sure everyone was on time. I really appreciated everything she did for us with also translating exactly what we wanted in the florist and venue too. Thank you Claudia!

Do not question Ionion weddings, they have been exceptional in planning my wedding from the start right the way through to our return home. We were married in Santorini and it was perfect, better than we could have hoped for and that was down to the service provided by Ionian.  Kerry has been an absolute star, she responds so quickly gets back with answers as soon as she can. Very professional and also very friendly. I don't think my experience would have been the same if it wasnt for Kerry. Always putting me at ease. She gave great advice. Kerry honestly has been amazing. Our coordinator was also fantastic, even our guests loved him. Put us at ease as soon as we met him, said we dont have to worry he will sort it and he did all that was requested and more. He exceeded our expectations and was very friendly. He kindly returned a phone directly to us left at the venue the next day. Always responded to our texts within minutes. Great guy.  Thank you Team x

Ionian weddings are 5* planners. The communication was prompt all the way to the big day, Lizzie was always at hand, and was always so reassuring.  It was raining on our wedding day, but cleared up in time for the special moment. It was fantastic, we had such an amazing day! It was a dream.

Kefalonia

I am so happy we chose to use Ionian weddings as our wedding planners. There was no stress at all involved in the process from start to finish. All the staff were helpful and did everything to ensure the whole process went smoothly. Our wedding was in Asos in Kefalonia. We had visited before and it's the most picturesque little village we have ever seen. We knew we would love to get married there. Everything about the day was perfect. The ceremony was beautiful, rose petals covered the walk way and seating area (something I did not ask for) it was this attention to detail that made the day even more special. The setting facing the ocean and the glowing mountains as the sun set was fenominal. The flowers and ribbons that dressed ceremony table and chairs were just stunning. The taverna and setting by the sea for the reception was equally as beautiful. Again detail such as re using the flowers off the chairs from the ceremony, and attaching them to the chairs at the reception,really stood out. The cake was better than I imagined and also decorated with the same beautiful flowers and included a spread of flowers which we had not asked for. It was a truly magical day and I could not have pictured it any better. Our wedding planner Gabi and the planner at the destination really listened to what we expected of the day and we got more than we could have imagined. I would highly recommend anyone to ionian weddings.

Skiathos

If you're thinking of having a weddings in Skiathos, you wouldn't be able to pick a better wedding planner than Ionian Weddings. Our wedding was in September 2019 on Achladies Beach, the whole day and night went fantastic and all our Family and Friends had a wonderful time. Gabi was fantastic and always came back to us and explained matters clearly, it was a pleasant experience and not stressful like things can be. Thank you to all the team at Ionian Weddings, especially, Gabi at the main office, George in Skiathos, Sakis owner of the Matiatis was magnificent, & Tom the photographer we have some excellent pics to go along with our happy memories of our wedding day and time in Skiathos. All our family and friends enjoyed the day immensely, a job well done and all the team should be pleased with them themselves.

My now husband and I booked our wedding with Ionian in August 2018 for the September 2019 in Rhodes, Greece .Booking a wedding abroad definitely had that extra level of anxiousness. However, that was soon eliminated when we got into the full planning of the wedding. We dealt with Natalie and Gabi for the most part and they were both so efficient and so great to deal with. We never had any questions because they always provided us with every single piece of information.When we arrived in Rhodes and met with the wedding planners there Michelle and Barbara they were also amazing. Our day was seamless, they were on it the whole time. The venue, the reception the entertainment the table decorations was absolutely incredible. We have emailed a number of wedding planning companies, but Ionian was the only company that seemed to have listened to what we were asking for and sent us appropriate information across. Lizzie was extremely helpful during our planning, she always responded to our queries with speed and real clarity. When we decided to get married in Italy we weren't really sure where to start. We contacted a few agencies in Italy but were a little apprehensive about using a company we knew nothing about. Friends of ours had used Ionian to plan their wedding and recommended them to us so we decided to take a look. We loved the venues in Sorrento and decided it was the location for us. We chose the sorrento cloisters because of its historical and natural feel and the hidden hillside gem due to the incredible views over the bay of Naples and also to Capri. We had the most perfect day and everything had been organised seamlessly so in the day we didn't have to worry about a thing. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ionian!

We recently got married in Portugal in the Pousada Palace de estoi and it was amazing from start to finish! We’d been nervous about booking a venue we’d never been to but we were astounded at how gorgeous this venue is! The gardens are beautiful and the Pillars where you eat are such a beautiful setting! We felt looked after from the booking all the way to the meal speeches and couldn’t thank Maria, Gabi and Marta enough for getting everything to run so smoothly! You made the day perfect and we can’t wait to see all the photos :)

Ionian have been amazing to work with and made our wedding day everything we hoped for and more. Lizzie, our planner, was brilliant answering our MANY questions - no request was too small, even helping us out with local tips for the area for our stay! Gabi made the paperwork process seamless and I know we would not have been writing this as a legally married couple had we had to do the paperwork ourselves. Our local coordinator Antonella was such pleasure to work with. We met three times prior to the wedding, once for an initial venue recce, then for a menu tasting visit and finally our pre-wedding meeting. Throughout the process she was open to all of our ideas, gave us recommendations, and helped us work out ways to add personal touches to the venues to make our day even more special. We would highly recommend Ionian to anyone - and just wish we could do it all over again!

Dear Patricia and the Ionian Team,

When I started planning our wedding last year I had a picture in my head of how I wanted it to be.  I worked initially with Maria who understood instantly the sort of wedding I was looking for; from start to finish the process of planning and organisation was stress free.  The Ionian team made it easy and all the decisions I had to make were fairly straight forward.

Once we arrived in Kefalonia we met with Athina and her colleague a few days before the wedding) and she was super organised, listened to everything we said and I was able to hand everything over to her, so all I had to think about was getting myself ready on the big day. What a day that was!!

I can't thank you enough for the way the wedding was organised.  The ceremony setting was perfect, the taverna and the food and drink amazing, the mandolin player superb and the DJ awesome.  As I said in the beginning of this email - I had a picture in my head of how I wanted the wedding to be, however the reality was even better.  I really felt like a film star on a picture perfect film set - alongside all my favourite people in the world.  So many of our guests said that it was the best wedding that they had ever attended and some who are married now want to renew their vows!

I can't thank you enough but will recommend you to anyone who asks.

The staff at the Foreigner's Club and Lemon Garden were excellent and very attentive, and the food at both venues was delicious. All services booked were very professional and of high quality - the photography, florist, musicians, hairdressers and make up artist. Lizzie was lovely to deal with, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We were in touch regularly and she responded promptly to all queries. Planning our wedding was an enjoyable and stress-free experience. From the outset of meeting Viola in Sorrento she was a dream to work with, she is engaging and relaxed with excellent attention to detail. The entire process made planning the wedding so easy, we were able to relax and concentrate once we got to Sorrento and saw how gorgeous everything was. The wedding abroad market is a mine field. After reading previous testimonials and having the perfect locations for us we went with Ionian Weddings. We never had a meeting at the office but for us there was no need - it's almost a surreal experience as it's very enjoyable and no stress choosing venues. The Extras Catalogue is fantastically done that you can pick and choose as you require, all stress is eliminated. You feel you should be doing things but Ionian have it all in hand for you so you are just left counting down, we only booked ours 8 months in advance. They are always there to help and answer questions. We had an amazing day and so did our guests. An experience like no other and commented was the best wedding they had been too. Rosaria also officiated our symbolic marriage ceremony and made sure she could pronounce our names correctly. The Sea View Restaurant was insane, the food was the best Italian food we had all week. Every single guest commented on how fabulous it was and we really set the bar high.It did heavily rain on the way to the church (just on myself) luckily the guests who were ahead managed to get inside before the heavens opened. I on the other hand was assisted by my dad and the assistant to Antonella with 3 umbrellas and us all holding the dress up. However I was told it was very lucky by pretty much every Italian I passed walking down.

Choosing Ionian to organise our wedding for us was the best decision we made! Ionian Weddings organised a beautiful ceremony at Villa Fondi. The sun was shining, the views of the Bay of Naples and Mt Vesuvius were amazing. The reception venue gave us access to the Sky Bar, again with amazing views and a beautiful sunset. The Sky Lounge were excellent hosts. Food, drink and cake were outstanding. Bride, Groom and guests had a wonderful day. Lizzie our wedding planner was always very helpful and organised. Polite and friendly - she would go away and research answers for our questions regarding the wedding and do her best to find the best. Viola (& the representative from Sky Lounge) were outstanding. I was really impressed with how lovely they were and also how they wanted to do everything to personalise our wedding the way we wanted it. I'll be honest. Going into the whole situation I was a bit skeptical. At the end of the day this is one of the biggest days of our lives and I don't usually leave somebody else in charge (bit of a perfectionist) but once I had spoken/emailed Lizzie I felt much more at ease. They definitely have everything in hand for your big day. I cannot thank Viola enough for everything she did. Unfortunately it rained on our big day (sunny for the rest of our trip of course) but with Viola arranging everything in the way she did, it was still the most magical day and I wouldn't change a single thing of it. I want to thank Ionian for everything. There was so little stress and worry. And they nailed everything! I would 100% recommend using Ionian for your big day abroad.
