So happy with the service and all the support I received from Ionian Weddings to make sure I had the best wedding day. We booked our wedding in 2019 for in Italy to get married the following year in 2020 but due to Covid we had to postpone 3 times! This worried me at first but the team at Ionian Weddings (particularly Maria, Viola, and Lizzie along with Rosaria and Stacey) could not have been anymore helpful and supportive. They were constantly in touch with us to help us rearrange and any time i had any questions to ask or queries they were straight back in touch, putting me at ease and arranging with the local team in Italy. We got married a week ago and it couldn't have been anymore perfect thanks to the lovely team at Ionian Weddings. Everyone has commented how beautiful and amazing our day looked and it's all down to these guys! I would recommend to any future bride and groom, without doubt! They wanted our day to be just as perfect as we did and went above and beyond. Amazing company and amazing staff. Thank you. You helped us create a day we will never ever forget. Our wedding was originally booked for May 2020 in Santorini but due to Covid it was postponed 2 months before we were due to fly. Two dates later we finally got hitched at our dream venue in Santorini on 10 September 2021. I couldn't have done it without Rachel at Ionian Weddings. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always there to quickly respond to the many emails that I sent.
It really helps that she works very closely with the venue and the suppliers on the island so was able to put my mind at rest and I knew 100% that everything was being handled correctly, I totally trusted her which is a massive thing when you are not speaking to the suppliers face to face. All the legal stuff for me was a massive help as I wouldn't know where to start with translating documents, which stamps are required etc. If you want to organise a wedding overseas but you don't know where to start then I can't recommend Ionian enough. We had the perfect day, everything ran smoothly and everything was just as I hoped it would be.

Skiathos

We booked a wedding on Skiathos with IW back in 2019 for 2021, long before Covid was even a thing. 2020 hit and the world was thrown into uncertainty. Despite this, our planner in the UK kept us updated, gave us transparent and honest advice about how best to liase any potential issues trying to get married abroad following a worldwide pandemic.

The day itself was perfect. I could not fault a single thing. The co-ordination between the UK team and the team members in Skiathos was seemless and everyone was so kind and personable. Special shout outs to Rachel (UK), George (Skiathos) and Nick (Photographer) as well as Despina who owned the restaraunt we used as our reception.
Everyone seemed to have great working relationships and we felt in very safe hands. For anyone who is considering a wedding abroad, I fully recommend IW from the experience we have had.

Could not recommend Ionian weddings enough. At the start everything was straight forward and the staff were always happy to help with questions and queries. Then Covid happened couple of months before wedding. It was extremely stressful so postponed wedding for 15 months. The time in between Helen kept in contact and answered any questions we had even in the uncertainty of everything. She must of had loads of stressed and worried brides/grooms but always stayed pleasant and helpful. When we finally had our day it was even more perfect than expected.

Perfection is not a strong enough word to describe our day. The process of booking the venue, choosing our packages and the logistics of setting the day up was really taken out of our hands. It was so easy. Debbie, our wedding planner feels like more of a friend. She has been absolutely second to none from the welcome meeting, to the venue meeting ,to the special day and finally to our last meeting. We'll miss her !!!

We wanted to say thank you so much to Gabi, Sofia and the whole Ionian team for an absolutely amazing wedding. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day and evening. I absolutely loved my hair and makeup. Everyone involved in the day was extremely friendly which made the wedding extra special. We can't wait to see the formal photos from Elina. She was so lovely!

We are enjoying our final couple of days on the island now before our flight home tomorrow night. The week has been a dream!

My wife and I recently got married in Santorini (15th August) and it couldn't have gone better! Right from the start we were amazed at how reactive and supportive our planners Cassi and Rachael were, no matter how small the issue, they would respond via email or arrange a short notice zoom call, which given the time difference in Dubai was tricky at times !

The flexibility with the guest number planning was a huge help especially with the uncertainty of travel at the time. Rachael was especially supportive right up to the big day and we couldn't thank her enough.

The website for the wedding catalogue and booking form was user-friendly on the whole, and we were pleased with the little touches on the day , the catering staff were so friendly and attentive , suffice to say our guests had a whale of a time!

After a very stressful and unpredictable year, Luke and I were feeling very anxious and worried about our upcoming dream wedding in Rhodes. We booked our wedding with Ionian weddings in January 2021, just before the pandemic and got married this month (August 2021), during the pandemic. We were made to feel welcome and special right from the start.

Due to the pandemic we weren’t able to see our wedding venue until 8 months after we booked it, but we were sent lots of photos and information about the venue which made us feel we had definitely made the right decision. We originally invited 30 guests but due to Covid-19, we had 15 guests attend our wedding. This did not matter as we still had the perfect day we had both dreamed of. We met Michele and Beverly a few days before our wedding day and they were both extremely helpful and went through all the details of the day and answered any questions we had. Michele was just a text or phone call away between our pre wedding meeting and the wedding day. They made us feel more relaxed and ready for our wedding day. The day itself ran smoothly and was everything we imagined it would be and more. On the day, Michelle and Alex were amazing, talking to myself, Luke and our guests through all the next steps and what we had to do and where we had to go. We could not be more grateful for your help and support. Thank you.

I honestly believe the violinist was one of the highlights I’ll remember from our wedding day. We were unsure at first whether to pay for a violinist, but we definitely made the right decision. Our ceremony would not have been the same without it. It was perfect and the emotion it brought to the ceremony was unbelievable. He had everyone in tears. He was the most talented violinist I have ever seen. Thank you so much. Everyone has been talking about the violin music since the wedding day. If anyone is unsure about an abroad/beach wedding, don’t be afraid. Do it! We have dreamt of this wedding since we were little and it was everything we dreamed of and more.

We got married in August 2021, from booking our wedding with Gabi at the beginning until the end, she was amazing throughout the process, constant reassurance all my anxieties were very normal and nothing too much trouble. We also had Pat who took over for a while during lockdown, we found her helpful.
The team over in Santorini were amazing! Sophia especially really went above and beyond for us.
The meeting was easy on arrival and they did everything we asked on the day, it looked effortless for them.

I’ve recently got married in Santorini (04/08/2021) and booked my wedding with Ionian back in November 2018. I chose them over other planners due to their friendliness and competitive prices, as well as being the quickest to respond. My correspondence with Ionian has been brilliant, I’ve had a few different planners since we initially booked but they were all quick to get back to me, friendly and informative.

My planner Rachel who was my assigned co-ordinator for the last 18 months was just amazing, so friendly and helped get the wedding I wanted and adjusted my package where it wasn’t needed which was reassuring with weddings easily becoming expensive.

Rachel was always just a call or email away and rearranged my wedding to the following year (due to Covid) so quickly without any issues, I couldn’t fault her at all. She’s taken all the stress of planning away and was completely understanding and gave great advice when we weren’t sure whether to postpone from 2020.

My wedding was incredible and I would recommend Ionian to anyone! Thank you so much to Rachel, Sofia and the Ionian team!

Our wedding on 03/08/21 was the most incredible day! Thanks to our planners Rachel (UK) and Sofia (Santorini) for helping plan every single detail to perfection🥰…. Honestly from start to finish they couldn’t do enough… having postponed due to Covid in 2020 it was very stressful planning for 2021 with all the uncertainties, Rachel was so reassuring and so helpful with updates right up to our wedding day, her input with all and little/ most important details where greatly appreciated! Once we arrived in Santorini and days before our wedding Sofia was so helpful… on the big day Sofia was present all day to make sure every single thing went perfectly! Wow what a day, what an experience… Thank you Rachel, Sofia and All the staff at Ionian wedding!

We had our wedding in July in Portugal and it was quite honestly the best day of our lives!! Due to COVID we had to change the date from August 2020 to July 2021 all of which was handled beautifully by our planner Maria.

Quick communication via email sorted all questions out instantly! When we were in Portugal the planner over there (Marta) was also fabulous, nothing was ever too much trouble! The actual planning of the wedding (COVID issues aside!) was smooth and effortless, our day was stunning and we just loved it - I would definitely recommend an abroad wedding and using Ionian Weddings to plan it for you!! A close friend at work booked her Italian wedding through Ionian and told me how amazing they had been. She wasn't wrong, my experience so far has been unbelievably positive and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Before booking anything, we decided to go on a holiday to Santorini and tie in some venue visits. I got in touch with Jane at Ionian and explained this is what we wanted to do and she offered to liaise with all of the venues and arrange the schedule for us, so we didn't have to do a thing. We paid a small fee for this, but it was refunded when we booked. We received a full list of our venue appointments before we left and Jane had arranged for us to be joined by the amazing Ionian wedding coordinator in Santorini, Sofia. Sofia even came and collected us from our hotel and took us in her car to each of the venues, she couldn't have been more lovely and helpful. On returning from Santorini we received quotes for our favourite venues. Once we made our decision to go ahead, we chose to visit the Ionian offices to talk through everything with Jane face-to-face and confirm all of the details. Booking our wedding with Ionian has been the best decision we could have made. Every step of the way Jane has been at the end of the phone or email, responding quickly - nothing has ever been too much trouble. Sadly, our plans for a July 2020 wedding has to be postponed but I honestly could not be more grateful that we had Jane looking after us. It could have been a very upsetting and stressful experience, but Jane took care of absolutely everything and I am so unbelievably grateful. Very quickly Jane had secured the same venue and date for 2021 and got all of my suppliers rebooked. No upset or stress whatsoever! We decided to still go ahead and have a holiday in Santorini this summer and so Jane arranged for us to have a menu and cake tasting which was great. We met up with Sofia again too which was lovely. We are now working with Jane on the finishing touches and keeping everything crossed that our July 2021 wedding can go ahead! If you are thinking of booking with Ionian Weddings, all I can say is DO IT!! x

We started planning our wedding with Ionian Weddings in August 2020, firstly we spoke with Cassi via a virtual F2F meeting to go through any concerns we had, questions and potential destinations before then making our decision to get married abroad and to use Ionian Weddings to plan the event.

Cassi was lovely and listened to us both and answered all our questions, she gave us time to think about all the information and then helped us get setup with Ionian Weddings when we decided we wanted to go ahead with our abroad wedding.

We then spoke to Pat throughout 2020 to get most of the organising done, flying out to Portugal to see our original venue in September, where we got to meet the local wedding planner who would be at our wedding. The use of the catalogues to pick your extras is very helpful and makes the process very easy. I like the packages that Ionian offer, as it's very clear what is included and then the brochures allow you to tailor the day further if you want to.

We then spoke with Maria throughout 2021 to finalise all of the details and confirm everything.

Everyone at Ionian Weddings that we dealt with came across as very thorough, helpful and responsive, Maria especially. For us, 1 week before our wedding in Portugal, the government rules locally changed, which unfortunately meant our wedding wouldn't be able to go ahead. We spoke to Ionian about potential other options (including cancelling completely, postponing, as well as changing venues), they could not have been more helpful and sympathetic to our situation. They found an alternative venue with the same availability for the following week as our previously planned Portugal event, they assured us they could get the documentation changed and turned around within the required timescales and so we agreed to change the country! Ionian weddings helped us change our entire wedding to Cyprus in 3 days and everything went ahead as planned and was perfect. We didn't miss out on anything and we are extremely grateful to them for their help during this time! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to get married abroad, with us both being super organised and enjoying planning, we were worried that it wouldn't feel like we had had much of a say in our wedding but this is totally not the case with Ionian Weddings, to us it felt like the wedding was completely organised by us, with everything we wanted, but without any of the actual organising, co-ordinating or booking!

I have only positive comments. From the very start of the planning Gabi has been incredible. Nothing has felt too much, she was thorough in answering all my questions and helped guide me through the whole process. She really is an asset to your team. She even kept in constant contact throughout us being in Santorini. We had lots of changes due to guests pulling out so we had money left from us over-paying and we were able to use it for other bits for the wedding day, as I said nothing felt too much.

And our pre wedding meeting with Sofia was great, she is such a professional and just knew everything and the whole day would run so smoothly. We were so grateful to have Sofia on the day.

Our suppliers we booked were just amazing. We definitely made the right decision with all of them. Phosart are just out of this world. As is Popi and The DJ was great also, they played all the songs we requested on our form. The cake was amazing, flavours were great and all the guests loved it. The harpist we booked was also incredible, all the songs we requested were played.  All the little things made our day so perfect. We really couldn’t of wished for a better day and we are so thankful we had you guys as our planner.

The venues were stunning and everything ran to plan, David and I were so happy !!! We have the most amazing memories.

Ionian were so helpful from start to finish planning our wedding in Santorini.

Back when I initially sent enquiries and asked thousands of questions, right through to being in resort and even still now upon our return and our wedding having been and gone! Jack and I got married back in June this year just as the UK government traffic light system started and travel was uncertain.

Ionian Weddings were very accommodating to all our last minute changes and our planner Rachel was very reassuring.

The communication and planning process for us was absolutely fine and I would recommend to anyone who wants stress free planning at a good price it was perfect, so thank you to the team!

From the moment we got in touch with Ionian Weddings, the welcome was perfect. Cassi was fantastic, there was no pressure and no question was a silly question. Once the process moved forward, we had the pleasure of working with Helen. She has been brilliant from day 1. Everything was made clear, nothing was a problem and even during the Covid crisis, she reassured us we could work with it and made it all OK.

The whole process was made so stress free, they took it all in hand and made sure we were perfectly happy with every decision made. The communication from Helen was so, so efficient which was such a reassurance and we were constantly kept up to date. They ticked every single box for us and the day itself was beyond everything we dreamt of. The team in Cyprus were also second to none and made the whole lead up to the day so relaxed and it all ran smoothly with not one hiccup.
