Where do I begin, I honestly cannot put into words to explain just how incredible my wedding was, it was a fairy tale dream come true. My whole wedding planning experience with Ionian weddings has been outstanding from the very first day up until my special day they had it all covered. Very professional with so much experience and fantastic advice and ideas. Literally took the stress out of it all, which made my journey so much more enjoyable. My UK on hand planner Maria has been impeccable, there wasn't anything that was too much trouble, and helped make our wedding a reality. Our Sorrento planner Antonella was another amazing lady, from the first venue viewings and again on our wedding week bringing all of our vision to life in such a friendly, caring manor. We cannot thank the team at Ionian Weddings enough. From the moment we knew we wanted to have a destination wedding we were supported by Patricia who sent us a variety of different locations to match what we were looking for, she then talked us through the different locations and venues to help us choose the perfect destination for us. We were then passed on to our amazing UK wedding planner, Maria who was fantastic from start to finish, with her speedy communication, meeting with us to talk through the process and supporting us with all stages of our planning. Finally, we met with Marta who was our planner in Portugal. Marta met with us in Portugal before our big day to talk through the final details and to answer any questions we had, making us feel at ease as the day was approaching. On our wedding day she was there from the beginning of the day until the end, making sure everything ran smoothly and was delivered as we had planned. It truly was the most perfect day and more beautiful than we could have ever imagined and this was down to the amazing planning from the Ionian Wedding Team! A Dream Come True !!

We married in Sorrento, Italy in July 2023 and Ionian Weddings gave us a wedding beyond what we could have ever dreamed of.
We were allocated a UK based Wedding Planner (Maria) straightaway who reminded with us throughout the entire lead up to the wedding. Maria remained in regular contact with us throughout the entire planning process and responded to any emails / telephone calls quickly and promptly. It was very clear that Maria had close relationships with the local team in Sorrento, which is essential when you are making the decision to marry abroad.
All we had to do was tell Maria what we wanted our dream wedding to look like and she arranged it all for us. She made sure that we were happy with every fine detail of our wedding and nothing was overlooked.
We appreciated Maria organising a Teams meeting with us in advance of the wedding, as it gave us a chance to meet our planner face-to-face and have an in-depth discussion about the planning process.

We were also allocated a local wedding planner in Sorrento (Antonella), who truly went above and beyond to ensure that our day went perfectly. We had a lengthy meeting with Antonella a few days before the wedding, where we visited the florist, ceremony and reception venues to make sure we were happy with every small detail for the big day.
On our wedding day, Antonella remained with us throughout almost the entire day and nothing was too much trouble. She did everything, from liaising with staff to even adjusting my dress so it looked perfect in the photos!

Ionian Weddings take care of all the legal paperwork for you once you have posted it to them. This takes the stress out of marrying abroad, meaning that all you need to do is show up on the day and cherish this special day in the sunshine with your friends and family.

Thanks to Ionian, our wedding was truly the best day of our lives and if you are thinking of marrying abroad, I would recommend them without hesitation.

BOOK - Exceptional service and support and our dream wedding!!

We got married in Sorrento on 27th July 2023 with our ceremony being held in the ‘cloisters’ and our wedding venue at Hidden Hillside Gem’.

We were assigned Maria as our UK wedding planner and she was amazing. Knowledgeable, supportive, organised, helpful and always on the end of the phone she was amazing. We visited our venue before our wedding day back in 2022 and we met our wedding planner in Italy ‘Anna’ - she was amazing, spoke excellent English, knew everyone in Sorrento and provided us with knowledge, support and friendship throughout our time in Italy. We were lucky enough to have Anna for our wedding day and she was incredible. We still keep in touch now, always on the end of the phone.

We had a small issue in that my vintage car broke down (to be expected with vintage cars), however this did not affect me at all and Anna and the team made sure of this. I waited in our hotel and behind the scenes Anna found us a replica car which arrived in 40 minutes - to do that abroad, nor stress a very ‘organised’ bride was impressive!

Our wedding venue really was a ‘hidden hillside gem’, it honestly made our wedding and was better than the pictures! Guests are still talking about the service, food, view and extra touches provided by Hidden Hillside Gem Silvana our event manager at the Hidden Hillside Gem made our dream come true and was the most dedicated, helpful person I have ever met. There are not enough words to say how amazing she was and how much of a gem that place is.

I could write millions more but won’t as short sweet usually captures the eye !

We couldn’t recommend Ionian Weddings enough. From the initial contact in April 2021 when we were choosing our venue, to our wedding last week, we have been really pleased with the service provided. Our UK wedding planner was Helen, as well as being super friendly & lovely to work with, she was on hand throughout the whole process to answer any questions we had post Covid, the price of suppliers etc elsewhere has significantly increased but we found Ionian prices to be very fair & reasonable, and any increases were communicated really early so not a surprise.

The venue itself  Cyprus Private Beach was nothing short of exquisite - a complete paradise. Ionian weddings had communicated clearly with the local planner  so they knew all about our wedding plans & guests arriving for the week. The transfer from UK wedding planners to local team was seamless and made for a very stress free experience.

The l local coordinator once in Cyprus was fantastic! Really helpful & organised. Our wedding day went without a hitch & we loved every moment.

Huge thank you to all the team - we would highly recommend to anyone looking to get married abroad.

Heart warming memories forever

With Ionian the planning was very easy! We had a legal ceremony so our paperwork was different but they were able to accommodate date support and advise. It took the stress out of planning and organising our wedding and once we got to Italy, the coordinator  Maria and Valeria immediately put us at Everything was planned to a T. On the day it was like a well oiled machine. I had total faith in the team and they made the whole time so enjoyable. They made sure our guests and any children were all okay in the heat. Overall an amazing experience with Ionian. The only sad thing is its over!! Thank you so much x

I would 100% recommend using Ionian Weddings to plan your special day. I couldn’t of wished for a better experience when handling one of the most important days of my life! My wedding was beyond my expectations and my wedding planners Rachel & Katarina were amazing.. they knew exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond and nothing was ever too much trouble!
I never had to wait long for responses and nothing ever felt too stressful.

We got married at Paradise Terrace  in Santorini and it was honestly beautiful. I couldn’t recommend the venue and staff enough and all my family and friends were blown away with the food and service.

We booked our wedding with Ionian way back in November 2021 for the wedding date of 30th June 2023. We have just had our amazing day in Sorrento and it was absolutely incredible! This was largely down to the professionalism and organisation of the team at Ionian.

Our first discussions around the wedding happened with Patricia. She was super helpful and prompt with her email responses. She discussed our options in depth with us and helped us choose our perfect venues of the Cloisters and Hidden Hillside Gem. She answered all our questions and once we had booked the date, we were kindly given the help of Lindsay.

Lindsay was an absolute star the whole way through the planning process, any question I had was answered promptly and professionally. Even when we hit a couple of issues with documentation in the UK, Lindsay was there to quickly put our mind at ease and do everything in her power to make sure our wedding went smoothly and as planned. I was kept updated and informed throughout the whole process.

Once we landed in Sorrento, we then had the wonderful Viola and Anna helping us to organise the day. Viola messaged me the day after we arrived in Sorrento and arranged a face-to-face meeting 4 days before the wedding. Viola talked us through what would happen on the day and took us to the cloisters, Hidden Hillside Gem, the Florist and to meet the photographer. Everything was so well organised, and nothing was too much trouble to arrange. Both venues are also completely out of this world, utterly beautiful! We were blown away!

On the wedding day Viola and Anna were with us during the ceremony at the cloisters and they both organised the entire bridal party excellently. I was so nervous arriving at the cloisters but both Viola and Anna kept me calm! Viola translated the ceremony into English too, a woman of many talents!

Once at the Hidden Hillside Gem we had the help of the incredible Silvana. Silvana had previously discussed with us how the reception would run and what to expect. She also tailored our drinks package completely to our wishes. On arrival, the decoration of the venue was so gorgeous. I had previously brought a few things (guest book, seating plan, photo frames) and Silvana and her team had arranged them beautifully and added their own decorations and flowers to compliment which was completely amazing! Throughout the evening Silvana organised us and ensured we were kept updated. She and her team kept the afternoon and evening running so smoothly.

I honestly don’t feel like I have enough words to thank the team I had at Ionian (hence why this review is so long!) The whole wedding planning process was a dream and it’s all down to them! It was the most incredible day of our lives and I would 100% recommend Ionian if you’re looking for an unforgettable, stress free, destination wedding.

We booked with Ionian wedding 2 years ago. Since booking the staff have been very helpful and answered all our questions as and when we had them. We was given Helen as our planner over here and I honestly couldn’t fault her, she was amazing and so efficient. 3 weeks before our wedding our wedding unfortunately had to be moved due to no fault of Ionian weddings. Helen was amazing and found us a new venue last minute and it was absolutely perfect. The planners over in Greece were also brilliant. Our day went smoothly because of them and they were there every step of the way. It was magical.

The planners, violinist, hair and make up artists, photographer and DJ were all amazing. As we’re the staff at the venue.

I couldn’t thank you all enough for making our special day a day to remember.

When we first booked our wedding for Zante we were so excited and we both couldn’t wait for all the planning. Due to covid we had to wait another 3 years which made us feel slightly deflated but from start to finish we had an amazing team at Ionian weddings to help us. They were only an email away or phone call, always got back to us with any queries and made us feel comfortable in the whole process. We then had to change our venue for reasons out of anyone’s hands which Helen (our wedding planner) and her team sorted straight away. They helped us to organise everything from table arrangements, seat plans, organising the paperwork for abroad and our food choices. Would highly recommend for anyone who is looking to get married abroad. We had a magical day and didn’t want it to end, our photographer caught all the best parts of the day. Can’t thank the Ionian team enough for what they did for us.

We recently got married in June 2023 at Lemon Terrace Boutique Villa in Sorrento, Italy. When we initially decided to get married abroad, we researched the options and came across Ionian Weddings. It can be daunting putting your faith in a company to plan your wedding but we felt that it would be the least stressful way to plan a wedding in Italy and we are so glad we did! I honestly don't think we could have planned it on our own and Ionian Weddings made everything easy for us.

We signed up for a package which included the venue, food, drinks packages, flowers, transport for guests (as the venue is outside of Sorrento), musician, limited photography and celebrant. We then added on some extras, for example extra photography, bridal hair, extra drinks and extra flowers. I liked that the prices were very transparent and we could easily budget. There was no pressure at all from Ionian Weddings to add on extras and we could have just gone with the basic package.

Maria was our UK coordinator and she was so helpful answering our many questions and researching things for us if needed. We decided to go for a symbolic wedding to make things easier for us, but they offer a lot of support with the paperwork if you wish to get legally married in Italy.

When we arrived in Italy, we met with Rosaria and Viola, who were the local coordinators. Rosaria is one of the most organised women I have ever met, and had a full itinerary documentation for us to refer to. She was present to welcome our guests for the pre wedding dinner and then on the wedding day itself, she made sure everything was going to plan and prompted us where needed. She took us to visit the florist as well as meet the hotel manager, and the restaurant manager before the wedding events started, so we felt fully confident that everything would go to plan., which it did.

Our wedding day was truly perfect and I really think a lot of it is down to Ionian Weddings amazing staff. If anyone is thinking of getting married in Italy, this venue is just stunning and I would 100% recommend.

We booked our wedding in Portugal with Ionian Weddings, it was pretty stress free from start to finish and we had the most incredible day.

Our wedding value for money was great compared to weddings in the UK.

If you are looking for a destination wedding I would definitely  recommend booking with Ionian Weddings.

We had a great experience with Ionian Weddings from the moment we first made enquiries to our special day. Maria was very easy to communicate with and she was more than happy to answer any questions that we had along our journey. Nothing was too much hassel and all details we discussed were easily dealt with. It was magical, it was perfect, it was stress free (although I did turn into bridezilla for a short period of time) but even when I did Rachel let me rant and we laughed about it after!

To the very last detail, Katerina was always on hand to text/call even out of hours.
The only thing I stressed about was that I wasn’t stressed, I thought I must be missing something, have I asked enough questions but please remember to put your trust into Ionian they do this everyday, they know exactly what they’re doing and this is why using Ionian is sooooo worth it, they take all that stress away from you which allows you to enjoy the run up to the wedding stress free

Cyprus Dream!

We recently got back from our wedding in Cyprus. From start to finish Ionian weddings have been a lovely company to work with in planning our wedding.

Our UK planner Helen was fantastic! Very kind, helpful, and was always there when I needed any questions answering. She was always clear with the information going through the planning process.

Our planner in Cyprus, Kim was also very kind and helpful. I could not fault Ionian weddings for making our day very special. We were lucky to have in my opinion the best photographer! Absolutely amazing photos, capturing every moment and went above and beyond our expectations. I would like to thank Ionian weddings for making our wedding in Sorrento perfect.
Communication was brilliant throughout the process. We had Lindsay as our planner in the UK and she went above and beyond for us. She was always good at getting back to us with requests and helped us throughout.

We met up with Antonella initially in Sorrento when we went for our walk around and she explained everything from where the venues where to meeting our florist to even recommending where to get pictures taken.

When it came to the wedding we had Viola who planned it and she was just amazing. She kept in touch, helped us with everything we needed. Went above and beyond to arrange everything and made our day look and feel perfect. All the small and bigger details where taken care of thanks to her. The flowers where just beautiful and even though we had rain the full week before she put us at ease and thankfully turned out beautiful on the day of.

I got married on the 6th of May 2023 in Santorini, Greece. Ionian weddings planned the wedding of my dreams. Our wedding planner was Rachel who truly did everything to make our day special, Rachel gave fantastic advice on what will work well for the wedding & how we can make it as special as possible regarding venues, entertainment, meals, time of the ceremony, transport, photography, videography, decorations, hair & makeup... everything! Rachel provided outstanding service throughout my wedding planning even to the point of calling me before the wedding to provide a back-up plan as the weather was forecasted to rain! ... luckily it all went to plan! At the beginning of our planning, Jane couldn't be more helpful, again outstanding service was provided throughout the selection of the wedding destination. If you're looking to plan a stress-free perfect wedding then Ionian are the ones to go with!
