We got married at the beautiful San Galgano in mid October of 2025 and we had the most incredible time. Ionian, and specifically our wedding planner Emma, made the process of planning the wedding completely stress free and we felt we could trust them entirely. There was never any pressure to have add ons provided but also no ask was too big. They say that planning a wedding is really stressful but we definitely did not feel that way! The venue of San Galgano and the package that Ionian offered was amazing, when looking to get married abroad by far Ionian was miles better than any other company. Our actual time at San Galgano exceeded all of our expectations, Serena our wedding coordinator out in Tuscany, and all the staff at San Galgano were incredibly friendly and helpful. And the small touches, like having someone carving ham at the starter buffet table, and serving some of the main meal as silver service, made our day even more special. We wish we could just re-live it over and over again. Throughout this whole process I have already been singing Ionian weddings praises, but I genuinely could not recommend them enough!

Words can not express our deep gratitude to the Ionian wedding team that was involved in making our dream wedding a reality on the beautiful island of Kefalonia, on the magical Antisamos beach.

From our initial contact with Lucy in sales- her responsiveness and advise was absolutely brilliant and we knew we were in safe hands. The next part of the journey was handled by Emma our UK wedding planner- Emma guided us through the whole process, set up the necessary calls once decisions had to be made, provided us with the final catalogues months in advance and constantly liaising with the lovely Dimitra- the wedding planner in Greece. Emma- thanks so much for everything you have done, you went above and beyond to make this as stress free as possible.

And finally on the island- we met with Dimitra a few days before the wedding to ensure everything is on track and we felt so relieved as you could tell she has been doing this for many years- a true professional. Dimitra and her team executed everything we have chosen to the next level on the day and we could not have been any happier with the outcome. Everyone was dancing- including some of the staff at Antisamos Bar which we LOVED until 1am.

The perfect day in Sorrento

A great experience from start to finish. My now husband and I decided we'd like to get married in the sun and having visited Sorrento a couple of years prior decided it would be the perfect location to do this. We are so happy we found Ionian Weddings to help us plan our perfect day. We dealt with Emma from the UK team throughout the planning process. Met with Gemma and Anna for our venue viewings and were lucky to have Anna with us again for our wedding day. Each member of the Ionian team was a pleasure to deal with, very knowledgeable and made our wedding planning experience as easy as possible for us. Our guests commented on how our wedding seemed like something from a movie thanks to Emma helping us plan all the finer details in the run up to the big day and again they all commented on how professional and lovely Anna was on the day of our wedding helping everything run smoothly. Wow just wow! We had our wedding at Mediterranean Gardens Crete. Rachel and Liz from Ionian Weddings did an absolutely amazing job at taking away any stress of planning a wedding and were so efficient and helpful. The venue, customer service, entertainment, food, facilities were out of this world and we can’t thank Ionian Weddings enough!! Our wedding was the best day of our lives. Thank you so much!

We’ve had the most wonderful wedding day planned and coordinated by Ionian Weddings in Crete! Our wedding took place in the most gorgeous villa, surrounded by the hills and with beautiful sea views. The organisation of this was made easy by the wonderful planning of Rachael and Liz! They knew and delivered exactly what we’ve asked for in terms of decorations and the whole on the day look. They’ve also helped us with all of the formalities which is always the least fun part of wedding planning. The communication was always great and nothing was too much to ask for.

Crete

We want to thank Ionian and their amazing vendors on making our day so perfect and magical as we recently had a villa wedding in Crete. A special shout out to Rachel and Liz who are absolute super stars!! But the whole team have been amazing with the support and planning throughout our experience.

We cannot put into words just how amazing the whole experience was, the location was absolutely stunning, we have had friends and family rave about how all the food was one of the best they have ever had and we have just felt so supported and well taken care of from the very start right through to the big day.

If you are considering getting married abroad, I would definitely advise on booking through Ionian Weddings. Our wedding day is one I don't think anyone will forget.

Tuscany

Our Tuscan wedding was nothing short of amazing. From the start we felt at ease with Emma who was always very responsive to any questions we had and the timeline/deadlines were made clear to avoid any last minute stress. Emma was always very friendly and available to liaise between ourselves and the venue to ensure a smooth process and pieced together our perfect day.

Once in Italy we were met by our co-ordinator Serena who not only made us feel extremely calm, but executed our perfect wedding flawlessly. After running through the day beforehand and handing over anything we brought with us, we were able to have a completely stress-free day as everything was taken care of for us. The staff at Ionian were personable and seemed to genuinely care about your upcoming experience.

Memories were made with our closest family and friends in the most stunning venue that will last a lifetime.

We decided to book our wedding through Ionian weddings after reading reviews and researching the company, we were not disappointed. Our wedding planner Rachel was lovely, she guided us through everything and what i loved about her is she was very honest, if she felt we didn’t need something she would say- rather than waste money on unnecessary things. It was a very stress free experience. Liz the wedding coordinator in Greece was just amazing, you could tell that she really cared about our special day.

Dream Greek Wedding !

Rachel helped to give us our dream Greek wedding in Crete this summer!
I can’t thank her and the team at Ionian Weddings enough for what was a beyond magical day.

The whole process from start to finish ran very smoothly and all our questions were answered with little delay, we only had a couple of things to organise ourselves, otherwise Ionian handled the bulk of it.

Four months on and we keep thinking back to our perfect day. There were a few small hiccups on the day, but nothing major, and this is always to be expected with such a large and complex event with so many moving parts. I wouldn’t fault the organisers at all.

We are over the moon with our choices and how things turned out. If you’re looking to have a wedding abroad with minimal stress, look no further than Ionian Weddings.

Santorini

I’m still not over our wedding day & I don’t think I can quite find the words to explain how incredible it was. From booking the wedding to the night it finished I can’t thank Ionian weddings enough! Everyone says it’s the best day of your life and you nod because you know it will be, but I don’t think I realised just how it will be everything and more. We got married 21.06.25 in Santorini at Santo Winery and there hasn’t been a day since I haven’t looked at all the photos or wished I could do it all again! You are putting all your trust in these guys (for 2 1/2 year in our case) to plan every minute of your special day and I am so glad I picked them! We booked completely blind, we hadn’t seen any of the venues beforehand & maybe this made it more special on the day. From booking with Lucy who was so helpful with the packages, we were then passed over to Rachel late 2024 to really start the planning process. Everything is so straightforward with the brochures but my mind was a web of questions and Rachel was simply amazing, always quick to reply to any email no matter how silly the question and really made the whole process a walk in the park! There is still some apprehension as we’d never been there but when we arrived in Santorini two days before the wedding we met with Voula & Giannis and they made any last minute worries we had disappear, they had things I didn’t even think of & the day could not have ran smoother and this is all down to everyone involved at Ionian Weddings, it really was our dream wedding, more than we could have imagined or wished for and I would book with these guys again in a heartbeat. We could not have done this without you, I will never get over it I just keep replaying the day in my head.

We booked our wedding in Kefalonia through Ionian Weddings and we are so pleased that we did. The experience from start to finish was nothing short of amazing. It only seems right to start by saying a huge thank you to everyone at Ionian who helped us to plan the wedding of our dreams! From start to finish we have had the most amazing experience and that's down to the hard work of all those that were part of our journey. It's been completely stress free, which has allowed us to enjoy every single moment leading to our big day and, of course our wedding day itself.

A special mention to Helen, Pat and Sarah and the lovely ladies in Rhodes - Michele & Beverley who made our vision come to life. We really had the most incredible day, one that we'd love to relive over and over. We knew we wanted to get married in Sorrento and had already picked the locations but beyond that had no clue where to start. We picked Ionian Weddings as they had great reviews, were so quick to respond and they worked with the venues we wanted! As soon as we booked with them, they took over and really sorted everything. No one could believe how relaxed we were about wedding planning and we kept saying it was because our wedding planners were sorting it all. We had Maria as our UK wedding planner and she was absolutely fab - so quick to reply and no question/concern was ever a problem! In Italy we had the absolute pleasure of working with Anna - she really matched our vibe of keeping things relaxed and not stressed/intense/panicky yet the day still went by PERFECTLY without a hitch. We are just back from our dream wedding in Sorrento, we were married on 29th May 2025. Lucy, Maria & Antonella have been outstanding! From the day we enquired online after finding Ionian Weddings on Instagram we have not been disappointed ! Lucy was our first contact and she helped us choose our wedding venue, then Maria was our UK wedding planner and she helped shape our vision of the wedding day, no question wasn't answered and I had a lot ! There is only one word to describe our whole wedding planning process and wedding day - perfect! From the first time we contacted Ionian Weddings to the treatment we received after the wedding was incredible. Patricia was so helpful in answering all of our questions and recommending wedding venues before we booked Cyprus Hidden  beach. Then, our UK wedding planner (Helen) was absolutely fabulous. She was so responsive, caring, organised and had a great eye for detail. She made the wedding planning experience completely stress-free. Once we landed in Cyprus, Cathy (our wedding coordinator) took over from Helen to make sure everything went as planned. She was outstanding! Cathy allowed us to just enjoy our holiday and wedding day without worrying about a thing. She was unbelievably amazing at her job! Also, everyone involved in the actual day (hair stylist, venue manager, venue staff, photographer and DJ) were brilliant! All of our guests can’t stop talking about our wedding and how perfect the venue/day was! Would happily do it all again!

Croatia

When we decided to get married in Hvar, Croatia, we were slightly apprehensive as to how everything would work, especially from abroad. We came across Ionian Weddings online and they had amazing reviews, so we thought we would try them.

From the very beginning, our UK wedding planner Maria was fantastic. She helped put our minds at ease, by answering all of our questions and providing us with the reassurance that we needed.
She was always so quick to respond to our questions and explained things very clearly.
If we were unsure about something, we would seek her guidance and she helped us tremendously with our decision making!

We were then put in touch with Ariana, the wedding coordinator in Croatia. Ariana's relaxed style also made us feel like we were in good hands. She, too, explained clearly how things would work once we were there.

We must say both of them made a fantastic team and having them as our planners took all of the stress away. When we got to Hvar, it all became real when we met Ariana face to face and saw the venue that we would be getting married in.

The venue itself was incredible. Everything from the decor, the lights, the flowers and the food/drink was way beyond our expectations. It was truly magical and we can't thank the both of them enough for bringing our vision to life.

Our guests also commented on how great Ariana was as our celebrant. She made sure the day went smoothly and was always available if we needed her.

Overall a great experience planning and executing our wedding in Santorini. Rachel and team did a great job working with us across time zones and responding and planning efficiently. We then had local wedding coordinators who took over for the day of, they were extremely professional and knowledgeable and made the entire process seamless. Many of our US based friends commented how well this wedding went was coordinated and how little went wrong along the way. Huge kudos to Rachel and our planners and friends at Ionian weddings. After seeing how fabulously they planned his sister's wedding in Positano, we knew Ionian Weddings was the way to go. Emma made the process smooth and enjoyable.
