Me and my fiance Danny had been planning our wedding for 18 months, but within weeks of being engaged I found Ionian Weddings and knew they were the company for us! Very personable and not pushy, and no question was ever too much trouble. My wedding coordinator Helen left Ionian after a few months and at that point I was a bit nervous about who might be taking over our wedding but oh my goodness Anna was absolutely AMAZING!! After finding our perfect wedding on the stunning island of Kefalonia we decided to go and see it in person! Whilst we were there we met up with Dimitra our Greek coordinator who took us up to the gorgeous little chapel in Asos hidden away in pine trees (a real gem) and then to the taverna where we would be having our wedding reception to meet with the owner of the taverna who was so lovely and gave up time to sit with us and discuss ideas, this gave us a massive head start in making decisions!
The day before we flew out to Kefalonia I received a call from Anna who wanted to wish us luck, you really do start to feel like friends after all that time and planning together! It was a lovely touch! Fast forward 1 year on and we are now in Greece! Dimitra and Athina both came to our hotel to talk through the finer details the day before the wedding and I had no worries at all, these amazing ladies had it all under control! So then it’s our wedding day Monday 4th June 2018…the best day of our lives! We knew that it would be something special but it was better than we could ever have imagined, the most perfect day we will never forget! Our guests cannot get over how magical it all was.
We are so blown away with how smoothly everything went and we must send massive THANK YOU’s to so many people including Anna our UK coordinator, Dimitra and Athina our Greek coordinators, my super talented hairdresser, and my makeup artist with her fantastic make up skills, the team at the taverna, and the registrar who was amazing and married us on his own wedding anniversary!! Our DJ had the party going all night long! We will never forget the moment he played splash splash when some of the guests jumped in the harbour for a swim! Right up until collecting our wedding certificates and even coming home we have been treated like the only couple to have ever been married. To top it off we received our absolutely stunning photos from our photographer, they are out of this world, someone even said ‘it looks like something out of a wedding magazine’! Others have said ‘this is the BEST wedding they have ever been to’!
We couldn’t be any happier and know for sure this wedding will be talked about for many many years to come! Ionian weddings you have been sensational!
