Sorrento & The Amalfi Coast

We got married on 23.09.2019 in the Cloisters and had our reception at Hidden Hillside Gem. We chose Gem based on pictures we were shown online and it really is as beautiful as those pictures. The view is amazing from this venue. We had canopies and drinks on the terrace overlooking the pond in the afternoon surrounded by beautiful scenery and Vesuvius in the background. It is the most perfect setting for a wedding and everything that we wanted. We had a pre-wedding meeting at the venue a few days before with Bernardo and we spoke about the layout and decorations we had brought with us. On the day, everything was exactly as we had imagined and even some extra decorations and flowers were included, which was lovely. Bernardo is such a lovely man and him and his team couldn’t do enough for us and our guests. They were all very kind and happy to help with anything we requested on the night. The food was amazing too. Our guests were very happy with the 4 course menu we chose and it was all delicious. The waiters were really helpful and attentive, always topping up our drinks during dinner. A great service was provided by them and the barmen who even remembered what guests were drinking as they approached the bar.

Lizzie has been so so helpful throughout the whole process. I couldn’t have wished for a better wedding planner! Lizzie spent months emailing us back and forth from booking in the original date in to getting the finer details in place for the day. Any questions we had were always answered quickly via email or on the phone and explained well. I knew i could email Lizzie even if it felt like a silly question and we would be put an ease with the response. We had a couple of meetings in the office too which was so nice to meet face to face and it made the planning feel more ‘real’ that we had the opportunity to meet as then its not just something online. She has such a lovely, kind, friendly and bubbly personality which really helped take away any stress from the planning stage. I felt she understood exactly what we were describing and what we wanted for our day and it turned out perfectly so we have you to thank! Thank you so much Lizzie.
Claudia was our wedding planner in Sorrento. We had a meeting with her 3 days before our wedding and again as soon as we met her and started running through the day i knew we were in good hands. She really spoke in detail and the day and venue and answered all of our questions regarding exactly how the ceremony would be handled. Claudia was so friendly and kind. I really like the laid back (yet super professional!) attitude she had which made us feel so relaxed about the day. I didn’t realise that although Claudia was our co-ordinator in Sorrento that she would actually be translating the ceremony. When we found this out i was really happy, we already knew someone there with us to calm our nerves! We were able to text Claudia with any last minute questions and even up to the morning of the wedding just to check in and make sure everyone was on time. I really appreciated everything she did for us with also translating exactly what we wanted in the florist and venue too. Thank you Claudia!
We would love to get married a second time and do it all over again! Thank you so much for all your help. Paris & James.
