Catholic Weddings in Greece and Cyprus

There are around 200,000 Catholics living in Greece and many Greek Islands feature their own charming Catholic Churches.

The Roman Catholic Church in Greece is part of the worldwide Roman Catholic Church under the spiritual leadership of the Pope and Curia in Rome and a full Catholic wedding can be conducted without the need to have a civil ceremony first.

Note that both parties must be baptised in the Catholic faith.

In Cyprus, Catholic weddings are possible at some beautiful churches across the island. They must be preceded by a civil wedding.
