The most amazing experience from beginning to end. Married at Santorini  Essence (most incredible scenic venue very well run).   From the minute we sent our enquiry form to Ionian Weddings, through to booking, planning and then the day itself, every single touch-point was organised, friendly, reliable and simply perfect. Ionian employ the best people who really care and get every single detail right for that special day. Lindsay was fantastic throughout she was extremely informative and highly professional and really helped us feel at ease leading into our big day.

In Portugal  our local planners Marta and Melanie were brilliant, our day was planned to perfection and we received a highly attentive service throughout the day. It honestly couldn’t have gone better. Our guests all commented on what an amazing time they had.

The cliff top venue in Portugal was just simply stunning. We can honestly say it was one of the best days of our lives and we were blessed to share it with our friends and family.

An Abroad wedding service provider you can trust!

So we got married in September 2022 at the Church of Santa Maria Assunta in Positano and had our reception at Hidden Hillside Gem , in the outskirts of Sorrento - both were absolutely stunning venues.

We were able to find our ideal venue following a call and a few emails with the team and we found the booking process pretty straight forward.

Our wedding planner Lindsay, who was amazing - she was always really helpful and responsive to my many emails, but completely made me feel relaxed in the run up to the wedding.

Given we booked during Covid, we were fortunate enough to go and visit our venue around 6 months before the wedding which gave us a chance to meet the priest, florist etc. and our wedding planner in Italy, Antonella. Again, we cannot speak highly enough of Antonella - she was incredibly warm and welcoming, accommodating of all our requests and went the extra mile for any last minute preparations. The whole day really did run like clockwork with the help of Lindsay, Antonella and Anna and we will always be grateful for them pulling together the wedding we always dreamed of.

They are all an absolute credit to Ionian Weddings.

I also have to comment on Hidden Hillside Gem  as a venue because that too exceeded all of our expectations. Bernardo and Barbara were so flexible and accommodating and they laid out our reception beautifully.

The venue itself has the most incredible views and the sunset was just breath taking.

Ionian have been wonderful helping us in every way to create our perfect day! Our wedding day was everything we wanted and more, absolutely perfect in fact and that’s all thanks to Rachel who was our wedding planner in the UK and then Sofia and Stella who were the wedding planners who took over in Santorini and stayed for the whole wedding to make sure everything ran smoothly! We looked online at so many wedding planners to help with our wedding abroad but from the first contact with Ionian we felt reassured we made the right decision and so thankful we chose them! We first contacted Ionian Weddings back in 2019 and booked our wedding for September 2021 in Portugal at the lovely resort hotel Palm Tree Garden, however, due to covid restrictions we decided to move our wedding forward to July 2022.

With the help of Maria, we planned our perfect wedding. Everything went smoothly on the big day with the help of Marta and the venue team, everything was as we had imagined! We got married in Santorini in July 2022. We contact Ionian 2 years before. Ever since our first contact with Ionian we were confident that they would be the best planners for our day.

Ionian were fantastic throughout the entire process, from helping us choose a venue, making recommendations and answering any questions we had along the way.

Rachel (our planner) kept us up to date the entire time and made sure the entire process was stress free.

We arrived in Santorini 3 days before the wedding and met Stella and Sofia.

Both ladies were so friendly and put us at ease straight away. Stella and Sofia made the entire day completely flawless. They really were fantastic!

Amazing !!!

We got married in Santorini on 12th June 2022. It was our absolute dream day and we can’t thank Ionian Weddings enough for all that they did. It can be quite daunting when planning a wedding abroad but Ionian made the whole process so smooth and stress free. I would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of getting married abroad!

We got married on the 8th June 2022 at Dana Villas on the beautiful island of Santorini. We had the most amazing time and it went better than we could’ve ever imagined.

Our wedding planner Rachel was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions in the lead up, and the process of booking everything we wanted was so simple. My now husband and I were able to visit the venue a couple of days before which was lovely as we had time to soak up the breath taking view on our own and we also got to meet the coordinators who ran through timings and really put our minds at rest. A massive thank you to our harpist and photographer who were absolutely incredible. Would highly recommend a wedding with Ionian!

We had a great experience with Ionian weddings. Planning a wedding abroad is daunting but we were out at ease with Ionian’s simple method to venues, catalogue options and payment times.
Our wedding planner Lindsay was a great help and made an effort to to ensure things were smooth for us.

Everyone was really friendly and the translation/document help was great help.

Cloisters and Hidden Hillside Gem were great venues despite us not being able to visit before the wedding due to covid.
We have now received our pictures and they are great.
A really smooth experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

Ionian planned our wedding in Greece ,Rhodes 1st June 2022 at Romantic Lindian Beach.

From initial contact to the wedding, we had no issues, no hidden costs or surprises. Everyone we spoke with in the UK & in Greece was lovely and put us at ease. We enjoyed our experience with Ionian and would use them again if we renew our vows in 20 years.

Myself and my husband got married in Cyprus 31.05.2022 we couldn’t recommend Ionian wedding enough we started planning our
Wedding back in 2019 and due to Covid etc it got pushed back but Cassi and Helen made sure everything was just prefect from start to finish I couldn’t recommend them enough our day was just amazing nothing was to much trouble and they make planning a wedding stress free and very enjoyable 🤍

I had the most amazing wedding in Portugal  Panoramic Gardens thanks to all of the hard work put in by Ionian weddings. Right from the early planning, to the execution. It was unbelievably stress free and everything was taken care of. My planner Maria could not do enough and was fantastic, responding to my queries and understood everything I wanted. The staff at the resort were also fantastic and made the day so perfect. I was worried about getting married abroad and assumed it would be more complicated than a home wedding. But I am pleased to say I was wrong. I highly recommend Ionian weddings to anybody thinking of going away for their special day. It was a really enjoyable experience right from the beginning and the day was more perfect than I ever could have imagined.

Perfect Day!

We had our wedding in Tuscany, Italy on the 3rd of May 2022 and had a fantastic experience planning with Maria. She guided us so well through, extremely prompt answering all of our questions and no question was ever too much. The day itself and day 2 went really well, better than we could have imagined.

Serena our coordinator in Tuscany on the day was also fantastic, very calming and made sure everything went off without a hitch, we were so pleased with how everything came together 😊
