Sorrento & The Amalfi Coast
When we got engaged, we never for a second believed we could have afforded a wedding, let alone one as beautiful and magical as what we have just had. When I looked into weddings abroad to broaden our horizons, Ionian Weddings came up in the listings; after a look on the website I started to believe that a wedding could be possible for us and we took it from there. The best decision I ever made was contacting you, what I loved the most was how clear your packages and prices were as it allowed us to budget and plan. From the day we got in touch we have never regretted it, the whole process has been relatively easy and stress free! (In the grand scheme of wedding planning it was less stressful than most!) We have felt confident at every stage of the planning process, however, we had some natural anxiety about marrying abroad and the ‘unknown’. This anxiety was completely unnecessary, when we arrived in Italy everything was in order. We had our own coordinator who confirmed final details and showed us around all of the venues. Again, the staff at the restaurant were fantastic, the florist was beautiful and all the finer details like make up and nail artists where sorted.
We had 45 guests at our wedding, including 6 children, we had three wedding cars, a horse and carriage, flowers, a beautiful ceremony, unlimited drinks at the villa bar after the ceremony with the most amazing view, then a three course meal at an amazing Italian restaurant- literally a fairy tale, we were situated in the lemon grove with lemon trees and candles. Then we went on to the Foreigners Club for the after party and had a DJ and air conditioned room.
Every guest was amazed at the day, the food was absolutely first class, the whole experience was unreal. I felt like a princess walking through the cobbled streets of Sorrento where people where shouting and waving at us!
So finally, I would just like to say, thank you, to everyone at Ionian Weddings, I feel you have been a huge part of our journey and we are so glad to have shared this experience with you, you do an amazing job! We have memories to last a lifetime and we can honestly say that our wedding was a dream come true. I will recommend you (and have already) to anybody interested in marrying abroad.
