Planning a wedding abroad can potentially become a very stressful time- choosing the right destination, ceremony venue and reception. However, following a lot of research, most of which was done by my sister, we discovered Ionian Weddings and immediately felt in safe hands. Their wedding packages, for all the different destinations, are clearly advertised and reasonably priced. From the beginning, we were introduced to Stacey, our wedding planner, who became our “Wedding Guardian Angel”. We really cannot thank her enough. She is very calm, friendly, knowledgeable, conscientious and made us feel special, unique, addressing all our individual needs and questions in a very timely manner to alleviate our stresses. Every step was structured,and information, throughout the 16 months, given in small timely chunks to prevent us becoming too overwhelmed. Stacey, as I suspect the other Ionian Wedding Planners do, gave that extra special touch, speaking directly by phone, whilst in the UK, making sure every last detail was covered before we left for Greece. A lovely message on our Wedding day also provided that extra special touch, making us feel that the company had a real interest in our special day. Stacey and the team work to high standards and it clearly shows by the success of the day. Our wedding was the magical, dream wedding we wished for in Skiathos. The weather, the beautiful location for our ceremony- at the Bourtzi and the reception at the lovely rustic taverna, all pieced together to give us a day that will stay with us until our last heart beat…priceless memories. We have to give a special mention to the manager and staff at the Restaurant for creating the theme for our wedding reception-it was truly beautiful and perfect, just as as we had visualised in the UK. Many compliments were also given for the meal provided- typical greek dishes. Also, a very special mention to our photographers, who we feel made our day, ensuring that it ran well, timely and captured, in their pictures, all the precious moments, keeping this lovely day alive. Thank you Ionian Weddings and all the team in the UK and destination for this wedding experience- words will never be enough x
