Catholic Weddings in the Mediterranean
There are around 200,000 Catholics living in Greece and many Greek Islands feature their own charming Catholic Churches. The Roman Catholic Church in Greece is part of the worldwide Roman Catholic Church under the spiritual leadership of the Pope and Curia in Rome and a full Catholic wedding can be conducted without the need to have a civil ceremony first. Note that both parties must be baptised in the Catholic faith. Some islands have restrictions on Catholic weddings however, so please contact us for information.
In Cyprus, Catholic weddings are possible at some beautiful churches across the island. They must be preceded by a civil wedding.
In Italy, we can organise a Catholic wedding in Positano and Ravello. Each of these pretty towns on the Amalfi Coast has a beautiful historic church.
